52/52

"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2015."

Stella: You started taking skateboarding lessons this week. And you love it.  I mean, what other kid gets to learn how to skateboard on top of a skyscraper in the middle of the city? At first I tried to teach you, push with your foot, find your balance, but somewhere, it's folded into your DNA to resist me. Pak Sofi, however, is much beloved by you, and his instructions are followed diligently.

Hugo: You've been sick. You came down with a fever and a bright red rash on Christmas day. So, you've been taking extra long naps, waking up cheerful after four hours of sleep. And cheerful Hugo is always trying to push the envelope and do something cheeky, like occupy your sister's big girl bed, refusing to get down.

Well, here they are, last portraits for the year. I love the practice of weekly portraits, the satisfaction of looking back on 52 images and remembering 52 moments from the past year. I know Jodi isn't leading this project any longer, but still, I'll likely keep it up. And I think, perhaps, my project might take on a bit of a different form. I'm thinking film.

Okay guys! Until the next post! xx
